Terms of Service

Welcome

These terms explain the service agreement between you and me (Nic). Written to be as straightforward as possible, no hidden traps. If anything's unclear, just WhatsApp me.

What I Provide

  • PADI diving courses (DSD, OW, AOW, Rescue, Divemaster, Nitrox, Reactivate)
  • Fun Dive trips in Sai Kung and other Hong Kong waters
  • Periodic overseas dive trips (Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, etc.)
  • Diving gear consultation and purchasing advice
  • Long-term WhatsApp support after course completion

Course Booking & Payment

  • Confirm course intent, dates, and group size via WhatsApp
  • HK$1,500 deposit to secure your spot (may vary by course — confirmed via WhatsApp)
  • Balance paid before Day 1 (installments available — just message me)
  • Payment via FPS, PayMe, or bank transfer (details shared in our WhatsApp chat — not published on the site)

Cancellation & Refunds

Once a diving course is confirmed, I prepay a deposit to the dive operator to reserve your boat slot, and that deposit is non-refundable to me. Therefore, as a general rule, once a course is confirmed, fees are not refundable. Discretionary exceptions: - Sudden illness (with medical documentation) - Family emergency - Unavoidable work conflicts The amount considered depends on how early you give notice, whether the dive operator can accommodate, and whether you're open to rescheduling. Please WhatsApp me as early as possible — the earlier the notice, the more we can recover. Weather-related cancellations (typhoon signals, heavy rain, rough seas) by the instructor: free reschedule, no charge.

Safety & Liability

Diving involves inherent risks, but I teach to PADI international standards and take every precaution to keep them low. You must: - Complete the PADI Medical Statement honestly - Notify me immediately if your health changes (injury, illness, new medication) - Follow all safety guidelines during the course - Signal me immediately if you feel unwell or unsafe at any time If you withhold health information or disregard safety instructions, I reserve the right to end the course without a refund. Accidents that occur during normal operations are handled under your personal insurance and PADI student insurance.

Use of Photos & Videos

I may photograph or film during courses. Before using any material that includes you, I will get your explicit consent: - For Instagram or the website: explicit consent required - For internal teaching demos: no extra consent needed, but you can request blurring - You can withdraw consent at any time and I will stop using the material immediately

Communication

  • Course-related communication is primarily via WhatsApp
  • I usually reply within 2 hours; late-night messages are answered the next morning
  • I will not send marketing spam

If Disputes Arise

If we have any dispute, my first preference is to resolve it through direct conversation — the vast majority of issues can be handled this way. If that's not possible, Hong Kong law applies.

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated to you before your next enrollment.
